I went to a Fashion Show and all I got was this lousy story.

Image
On Friday I was lucky enough to attend to the Sorapol Autumn/Winter Show 2012 after being invited by LittleMissLove . I learned a great deal about the Fashion year ahead... such as... well, we'll all be wearing Human Skulls in our hair, or the fur of a bear on our head ...and we'll have an unearthly, deathly pallor to our skin. Like the weird sparkly shit in twilight except high fashion instead of totally, like, you know, gay! Another valuable lesson learned was that Boy George isn't at all an obese, attention grabbing, pointless has-been in a stupid hat. He is certainly not rude, irritating or badly dressed and didn't spend the entire show trying to upstage the models. I am glad I had the opportunity to clear that up for anyone who mistakenly thought he was a washed up fat prick (with a painted chin). Finally, I learned that designers steal from each other. Matthew Williamson was there stealing ideas - I discovered this when I stole his invite....

Tube-strangers II.

Image
Tube-strangers is back. After the success of the first batch I started papping on the tube again. Once, after Guillaume had been playing with my phone, I was papping a man and the flash went off... I managed to cover it before he noticed. The risks I take, eh? It's really, only a matter of time before I get caught.

Olive's Hear !?!?!

Image
Outside standing around I saw Olive coming towards me. I knew she had been off ill with a bad ear so I asked her about it... Me: Are you late? Olive: Maybe a little Me:  How is your ear? Olive: On the District Line! Me: What??? In honour of this bizarre confused answer I made the following image. Oh dear!

The Acting Bug

Image
Cinderella On my way to a rehearsal for 'Mother Goose', I found myself recalling all the other productions I've been in since I was a child. I wasn't a stage school brat and I didn't have pushy parents but I did get my acting bug pretty young. I guess my earliest acting memory was a raging battle to be cast as Joseph in a school Nativity play. I must have been about six but none-the-less I was furious to be given the role of 'wise man with myrrh' and I wouldn't rest until I was certain I would be the greatest 'wise man' that Layton had ever seen. Tea towel on head I was keen to shock, awe and maybe even steal the show. I was going to be brilliant! Obviously, I was rubbish because in the next biblical production I was cast as 'elephant's legs'. It was Noah's ark and the Ark was a giant cut out of a boat with various 'animal print' legs shuffling it along. I didn't even get a tail. And, I think I was at th...

Fashion week and the Morning commute!

Image
It must be London fashion week, that's all I can think. Or maybe Vivienne Westwood is now a transmutable plague spreading through the London population faster than a Katie Price rebound. Packed onto my first train this morning I have a Tartan beard so fashion forward he makes Alexander McQueen's Armadillo look positively pre-historic. Decked out in scottish magic eye from head to toe he manages to look both 'sudoku-esque' and 'militantly patriotic'. I mentally vomit on him. My journey can cause no further retinal pain, surely. Spoke to soon, my lumbering carriage pulls into New Cross where I am shocked to spot another die hard trendy. The baggy 'knob-head' jumper combined with ubër skinny jeans makes me wretch, but not nearly as much as the Elvis-on-acid greasy do. This pretentious streak of dribble piss has some liquorice coloured Mr whippy spilling down his forehead. As far as chip-fat-chic goes it is fairly impressive but something about it...

Love at Leicester Square: How it all began.

Image
This Saturday, the 10th of September 2011, Guillaume and I will be celebrating our four year anniversary. Are you sitting comfortably? Here is the story of how we met. In the weeks before I set eyes on Guillaume I had joined a popular dating site in the hope of finding my 'mister right' and maybe a couple if 'mister okay-you'll-do-for-nows' along the way. After wading, knee deep through a lake of forgettable dinners and 'oh-my-god-is-that-the-time?' coffees I considered lowering my standards. Then one day, whilst browsing through men on the website (just like shopping on-line for food, only sexier) I glimpsed a cutie on a stool. His name was 'Marc' and he was a French hairdresser. We spoke on-line for a while and eventually agreed to meet. I was working at The London Dungeon at the time so as my shift came to an end I got out my clinique bag and made sure every trace of gore, blood, and white base was well and truly shifted. A spritz of aftersh...

Tube-strangers!

Image
What is Tube-stranger? It's my new favourite pass time and essentially involves taking discrete, slightly arty pictures of people on public transport. Please look below for my entire gallery of victims Comment below if you know anyone! R
